Rittenhouse

A few years ago my Grandfather let me have this incredible painting of Rittenhouse Square. While the photo does this 48×24 oil painted canvas very little justice, you can get a decent enough sense of the color and detail. In the lower left corner it is modestly and discreetly signed “Larry Francis ’96”.

Larry Francis has been painting in Philadelphia for over 40 years and has captured some of the finest scenery in the city. With a little research I found a collection of Larry’s paintings from the Gross McCleaf Gallery. Here are just a couple of my favorites.
